Aerotech Introduces ALAR Series Direct-Drive, Large-Aperture Rotary Stages

ALAR series direct-drive rotary stages from Aerotech Inc. provide 360° of continuous rotation in models with aperture sizes from 100 mm to 325 mm. Large bearings allow payloads of up to 590 kg. Accuracy is ±3.9 arc seconds, and speeds are up to 300 rpm.

The cog-free, direct-drive motor means zero backlash and no gear wear or gear vibration. Vacuum-compatible versions are available. Applications include single and multi-axis electro-optic sensor testing, missile seeker testing, antenna testing, inertial navigation device testing, photonic component alignment, high-accuracy laser machining, and more.
