Advanced Lighting Technologies Launches Telecom Business Unit

N/Athe telecom bandwagon, Advanced Lighting Technologies Inc. (Cleveland) has formed a Fiber Optic Telecommunications Business Unit (Santa Rosa, CA) to produce passive optical telecommunications devices and components. Current products include wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) filters, high-reflection films for dense WDM applications, and optical fiber assemblies and micro-optics that reduce insertion losses in DWDM, metro, and optical switching systems.

The telecommunications operations are located at the <%=company%> (in Santa Rosa, CA) business campus. The Telecommunications Unit uses the proprietary coating equipment, advanced thin film processes, and measurement capabilities developed by DSI for a variety of applications.

According to the company, DSI has been developing and manufacturing optical telecommunications products for eighteen months.
