Advanced Camera Manufacturing And Lens Alignment Enabled By Compact 6-Axis Micro-Robotic Hexapod Systems
Source: PI (Physik Instrumente) LP

Hexapod micro-motion robot technologies provide all six degrees of freedom in an unusually stiff, compact, and high-precision structure. These types of structures deliver free translation and rotation of the coordinate system, allowing the rotational center point to be placed anywhere in space, such as at an optical focus, a fiber or waveguide and-face, or any other location. This application note discusses how the functionality enabled by a compact 6-axis micro-robotic hexapod system provides precise manufacturing and lens alignment in advanced cameras.
