5000-Hz CCD Camera
PixelVision features a black-illuminated charge-coupled device (CCD) camera that operates at up to 5,000 fps. Designed for a variety of high-speed soft x-ray, visible, and UV imaging applications, the camera features an 80 x 80 pixel CCD and 106 photons/msec signal handling capacity.
The 14-bit camera incorporates high-speed architecture with 100% fill factor and greater than 90% quantum efficiency. The camera comes equipped with a two-stage thermoelectric cooler and offers four CCD amplifier channels that help enable noise performance.
The camera produces digitized output that can be transmitted up to several kilometers via a fiberoptic cable and acquired with an included multiple input PCI interface board operating under Windows95/98 or Windows NT.
