3CCD Technology. Toshiba Imaging Systems Division is one of a handful of manufacturers worldwide that have the technology to produce 3CCD prism block cameras. What sets Toshiba Imaging Systems Division apart is our expertise in the development of remote head technology, combined with our advances in 3CCD technology. This technology requires the design of ultra-compact and robust camera units.

Our compact design technology is highlighted in our IK-TF family of 3CCD color cameras. The IK-TF models are only 44 mm x 44 mm x 78 mm making them the smallest yet highest resolution 3CCD cameras on the market today. There are five IK-TF cameras from which to choose: a NTSC version; two progressive scan; and two Camera Link® progressive-scan models. All our IK-TF cameras have the best S/N ratio of any other popularly-priced 3CCD cameras on the market.

Another example of our unique compact design is our B&W “ice cube” cameras, the IK-52V and IK-53V progressive- scan -output cameras with dimensions of only 29 mm cube.

Inventor of the “Lipstick” Cameras: Toshiba Imaging Systems Division is renowned for the design and sale of “lipstick” remote-head cameras which are used in applications that include non-destructive testing, broadcast video, machine vision, inspection, and many more. Our “lipstick” models IK-M44, IK-UM44H and IKC44 are available in either 1/2 inch and/or 1/3” inch CCD designs. Introduced in the 1980’s, these popular cameras continue to find applications almost daily in the industrial video marketplace.
