Scientific EMCCD Camera: iXon Ultra 897
Andor’s iXon Ultra 897 is an EMCCD camera with 56 FPS (full frame) frame rate and 512 x 512 pixel resolution, making it ideal for low-light level applications like super-resolution microscopy, single photon counting, ion signaling, adaptive optics, single molecule tracking, lucky astronomy, and cell motility.
This EMCCD camera has been overclocked to a 17 MHz maximum readout rate. It features a new optically centered crop mode, fringe suppression, EX2 technology for wider QE response, single photon sensitivity, and TE cooling to -100oC. Additionally, the camera has an 8.2 x 8.2mm image area and <1 e- read noise with EM gain.
