PILine Linear Positioning Stage With Ultrasonic Piezomotor: U-521 Datasheet

The U-521 is a PILine^® stage with an ultrasonic piezomotor designed particularly for applications requiring fast precision positioning. It features a self-locking mechanism, when switched off, for keeping the stage mechanically stable and reducing energy consumption and heat generation. The stage also has a piezo actuator that is preloaded against a movable, guided runner through a coupling element, and is excited to ultrasonic oscillation by a high-frequency AC voltage between 100 and 200 kHz.
