Optical Component Services
IRD Glass offers coating, grinding, lapping, polishing, assembly, metrology, sawing, and dicing services for various types of optical components.
Coatings:
Through the use of an evaporation chamber, sputtering chamber, and a vacuum chamber, IRD Glass can provide traditional coatings like anti-reflective and anti-glare, to more exotic types of coating.
Grinding:
IRD Glass offers grinding flatness to within .0002”. Additionally, a ground contour of +.002 can be achieved. They work with precision glass, ceramic, and ceramic blends.
Lapping and Polishing:
IRD Glass can lap and polish flat substrates and cylindrical substrates using double-sided laps and polishers and manual stations for custom precision. Polishing flatness to 1/10 λ and parallelism to ±.00001” is achievable.
Sawing and Dicing
Through the use of CNC machinery, IRD Glass can saw and dice to within ±.002” any glass substrate up to 20” in length and inches thick.
