The new LIMO350-F400-DL980 high-power-diode-laser emits 350 W delivered by a 400 µm fiber (NA=0,22). In the LIMO application labs, we run this laser with a new power record of 400 W at a moderate operation current of 60 A. The laser is available at wavelengths 808, 915, 940, and 980 nm

The new LIMO350-F400-DL980 high-power-diode-laser emits 350 W delivered by a 400 µm fiber (NA=0,22). In the LIMO application labs, we run this laser with a new power record of 400 W at a moderate operation current of 60 A. The laser is available at wavelengths 808, 915, 940, and 980 nm. The excellent beam-parameter-product of 40 mm mrad offers new opportunities in cutting and welding of plastics and metals with diode lasers.

Application support is available at LIMO. In addition, the new diode module serves as a high-brightness pump source for DPSSL and fiber lasers. The compact diode laser (225x175x65 mm) includes a Plug&Play fiber connector. It is easy and safe to handle. The robust thermal management of this laser relies on passively-cooled laser bars. Therefore, the laser module is simply cooled with tap water at 20 °C coolant temperature. The main applications for the LIMO350-F400-DL980 high-power-diode-laser are industrial material processing and pump applications.
