IR Camera for Low Background Instrumentation: Micro-Cam™

The Micro-CamTM infrared camera is available in sideward looking, downward lookin, and upward looking orientations and has been designed for integration in instrumentation with very low backgrounds. It has greater than 98% response operability, and greater than 80,000 e- mean well capacity (depending on system gain).

Additional specifications include:

  • FPA Format
    • 256 x 256 with 40 micron pixel pitch (PICNIC ROIC)
    • 640 x 512 or 1016 x 1016 with 18 micron pixel pitch (HAWAII ROIC)
  • Detector material
    • Silicon for visible band from 400nm to 1.0mm
    • InGaAs for NIR from 900 to 1600nm
    • HgCdTe for SWIR to MWIR from 900nm to 5.0mm
  • Mean QE: wavelength, AR coating, and temperature dependent, though greater than 80% peak QE is achievable
  • Total nose per frame: ROIC dependent, though less than 20e- for HAWAII ROIC is achievable
