Intelligent Vision Sensor: VC μ Check System

This vision sensor system is ideal for print and surface inspection, identification, positioning and alignment, 2D and 3D measurements, and other applications where very small components need to be inspected. The system itself is comprised of an intelligent camera with a 700 MHz processor and a tele-centric lens enclosed in a 15.8 x 9.8 x 6.5 cm housing.

The VC μ Check Intelligent Vision Sensing System has a maximum resolution of 5 megapixels, and a 7 x 11 or 30 x 40 mm field of vision. All VC μ Check sensors feature a freely programmable 100 MBit Ethernet interface that allows for live video output on a PC. Two digital inputs and four outputs facilitate integration into existing automation environments. A dovetail profile enables quick and easy integration into existing machines. The integrated unit reduces  integration, cabling, setup, installation and troubleshooting costs considerably.

Built in dark-field illumination, dome illumination, and collimated illumination systems can be integrated into the vision sensor system as well. The illumination effect can be switched on or off, depending on inspection requirements.

This vision sensing system is an ideal embedded solution for pharmaceutical and medical image analysis, food and beverage, packaging, semiconductor and electronics, logistics, robotics, marking inspection, orientation, lead fame inspection, coplanarity, IC package inspection, LED SMD inspection, wafer inspection, and security/surveillance markets.
