Excelitas Technologies Introduces New Thermopile Detector

WALTHAM, Mass., May 14, 2013 – Excelitas Technologies, a global technology leader focused on delivering innovative, customized optoelectronics to OEMs seeking high-performance technology solutions, today launched the latest in its line of innovative digital thermopile detectors, the DigiPile Module TPiM 1T 1256 L5.5. The new module allows for greater customization and easy connectivity for non-contact temperature measurement and for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.

The DigiPile Module, the newest extension of Excelitas’ digital Family of Thermopile Sensors, delivers its unique customization through fully digital signal processing and calibrated linear temperature output signals. With an I2C bus and a sensor located on the printed circuit board, it offers easy plug-in use. Ideal for applications ranging from white ware goods to pyrometers and general-purpose process control uses, the DigiPile Module can communicate with many external microprocessors without the need for additional costly components.

Excelitas will feature the new DigiPile Module TPiM 1T 1256 L5.5 along with an extensive portfolio of infrared sensing and detection products at SENSOR + TEST 2013 in Nürnberg, Germany from May 14 – 16 at Excelitas’ booth, Hall 12, Stand 503.  In addition, customers can see a live demonstration of the CoolEye™ Infrared Imager 1024 which provides 32x32 pixel resolution in a pocket-sized form factor for a variety of commercial, security, and medical applications.
