ecoVis Krypton Light Source For VIS-NIR Applications

Source: Ocean Optics, Inc.

Compact, economical source has response from 400-2500 nm

The ecoVis is a compact, low-voltage light source (400-2500 nm) with built-in cuvette holder that’s ideal for absorbance and fluorescence measurements in university, environmental, basic research and quality control labs. The ecoVis features a ruggedalloy housing that helps to dissipate heat and in-line fiber ports for absorbance and fluorescence measurements.

The ecoVis is small – it’s just 95 mm x 50 mm (3.74” x 1.97”) and weighs 265 g (0.58 lb.) – making it attractive for labs where space is at a premium. The light source has an integrated, 1.0 cm pathlength cuvette holder and includes aversatile chromium-plated reflective insert. The insert increases collection efficiency for fluorescence measurements and can be adjusted through 90º to block the light path for dark measurements. In addition, the insert helps to hold the cuvette securely in place.

The ecoVis is designed for absorbance and fluorescence of cuvette-based samples. Its rugged housing and simple design make it useful for environments where basic absorbance and fluorescence measurements are performed routinely.
