Advantages Of TE Cooled Miniature Fiber Optic Spectrometers For Raman And Fluorescence Spectroscopy
Source: B&W Tek, Inc.
The Glacier™ X by B&W Tek, Inc. is the smallest thermoelectric (TE) cooled spectrometer on the market and is ideal for low light level applications such as fluorescence and Raman spectroscopy. By cooling the detector, the dark noise is significantly reduced which allows for longer signal integration and, as a result, lower detection limits.
In this application note we demonstrate the benefits of TE cooled spectrometers by comparing the Glacier™ X to a non-cooled spectrometer, both configured for fluorescence and Raman spectroscopy.
