Deposition Sciences' sputtered optical coatings operate in the LWIR range and are created through their MicroDyn® reactive sputtering deposition process. This sputtering process delivers 8-µm long-wave pass and 10-µm narrow-bandpass filters with good blocking capabilities, and creates rugged multilayer and multispectral thin-film coatings. While DSI's coatings can be used in a wide array of applications such as biomedical, digital imaging, life sciences, space/satellites, military/defense, and more, their sputter coatings are particularly ideal for projects involving thermal imaging or gas sensing.
