Experienced developers can take advantage of unique access to the high-speed open-ended architecture due to the R2000 imaging system featuring an onboard field-programmable gate array (FPGA).
This system allows for real time image processing in two configurations: without the FPGA and with an XILINX FPGA. Without the FPGA, the R2000 operates in a typical, high-speed image acquisition capacity, writing image data directly to the host computer's RAM. Operating with the XILINX FPGA, the R-2000-F enables real-time hardware-based pre-processing while recording the event.
The R2000 imaging system can operate at 2,000 FPS at full resolution, and 10,000 FPS at a reduced resolution.
