New SWIR Detector Set For Space Launch

Raf Vandermissen, CEO of sInfraRed (a Xenics company) introduces us to the Xlin 1.7-3000 line-scan SWIR detector. This system is comprised of three individual InGaAs sub-arrays on 1024 pixels (25µm x 25µm) each, and on May 3rd, three of these detectors will be launched aboard the ESA satellite Proba-V to map crop and vegetation patterns across earth.
