Ideal for gimbal windows and sensor detector assemblies on unmanned systems, these Highly Durable, Wide Angle Broadband Anti-Reflective (BBAR) Coatings are available from Deposition Sciences, Inc. (DSI). These highly specialized coatings address the need for a highly durable, angle-insensitive (FOV 0-30 degrees) glare- reducing coating on sapphire substrates in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

DSI's design is band-selective, meaning that minimum reflectance can be tuned to a particular detector package, while still minimizing visibility (glare) in the photopic spectral sensitivity range of the human eye. Between 400-5000 nm, the design of these Wide Angle BBAR Coatings delivers an average reflectance of approximately 2 percent.
