Using Thermal Imaging For Companion Diagnostics

Source: FLIR Systems, Inc - Research & Science

Thermography using thermal imaging cameras is one of the most efficient techniques for the study of skin temperature. It is an accurate, quantifiable, non-contact, non-invasive diagnostic technique that allows the examiner to visualize and quantify changes in skin surface temperature. This application note describes how researchers from the clinical research center of Charité Berlin use a thermal imaging camera from FLIR to analyze and objectify the body’s response to various allergens and evaluate how antihistamines can modulate the development of symptoms.
