Raptor Photonics, a global leader in the design and manufacture of high performance digital cameras has launched a new member to its family of SWIR and Visible SWIR cameras. The OWL SW1.7 CL-640 is a rugged, high sensitivity digital VIS-SWIR camera that uses a 640 x 512 InGaAs sensor from SCD. Raptor's VIS-SWIR technology enables high sensitivity from 0.4mm to 1.7mm and 15mm x 15mm pixel pitch ensures the highest resolution. A rugged housing with no fan enables integration into UAV, handheld or any Electro-Optic system

As with all Raptor cameras the OWL 640 is an ultra-compact, low power (<5W) camera which makes it ideal for hand-held, mobile or airborne systems. It is also very rugged, Peltier cooled, and has no fan enabling integration into UAV, handheld or any Electro-Optic system.

Raptor also offers a 320 version of this camera and a High Speed version (up to 350Hz). All come with powerful Image Analysis Software (XCAP) and a standard CameraLink frame grabber (EPIX).
