RPMC Lasers Announces HYPER-RAPID Industrial Cold Processing Picosecond Lasers

emitter

A new picosecond cold processing laser has been introduced with up to 50W TEMoo average power and pulse repetition rates of up to 1MHz. These are ideal for high quality industrial micromachining. The throughput is increased by more then a factor of 10 – compared to previously available models. Now more then 10mm³ of material per minute can be abated coldly, without thermal side effects … virtually no heat affected zone, no cracks, no burr at the edges.

There are now four versions of the RAPID laser: 2.5W, 10W, 25W and 50W. Green and UV outputs are optional.

A ps-laser beam can be focussed to a few micron diameter, and each controllable single ps-pulse will remove coldly only about a 10nm-layer of material. Manufacturing engineers can micromachine any material with the same universal laser because this laser is effective on all materials used in semiconductor, electronics, solar cell, aerospace, automotive, medical, microfluidics, micromold technology etc.

An application lab is available for customer experiments. It has processed nearly 500 samples and demonstrated great results with any material.
