This pan/tilt weatherproof SWIR security imaging system is ideal for low-light to daytime security and surveillance, search and rescue missions, imaging through atmospheric obscurants, collision avoidance/docking, and other imaging applications that may need to be conducted in difficult maritime conditions.
The system uses both a 640 x 512 pixel SWIR camera with 25µm pitch, and a 320 x 240 pixel LWIR camera with 17µm pitch. The pan/tilt unit is an IP-66 rated environmental enclosure with a pan range/speed of 360˚ continuous / 0.25˚ – 96˚/sec, and a tilt/range speed of ±90/ 0.25˚ – 96˚/sec. The camera itself provides real-time daylight to low-light 24 hour imaging in the Short Wave Infrared (SWIR) wavelength spectrum for persistent surveillance, and for penetration through light fog, dust, and smoke. Its versatility also makes it an ideal imaging solution for man-overboard/search and rescue applications. On-board Automatic Gain Control (AGC) is used to address the varied gain in the challenges of day to night imaging. The system is compact and uses low power components, making it easy for deck, platform, or mast-mounted surveillance system integration.
