Russ Dahl of Opto Diode Corporation gives a brief overview and history of the company before handing it over to Stan Duda, who discusses their launch of high-power LED arrays, which feature a 30-degree beam angle, excellent thermal conductivity, and high efficiency, and are currently available for sale. He also talks about their acquisition of International Radiation Detectors.
Russ Dahl: Opto Diode was founded in 1981. To start, we were an LED company that provided LED chips in the wavelengths of 880 nanometers. Since then, we’ve moved into electro-optical assemblies for medical and military applications. We have our own photodiode wafer fabrication for silicon photodiodes. All of the production is done in Newbury Park, CA.
Stan Duda: ITW Opto Diode is pleased to announce its recent acquisition of International Radiation Detectors. International Radiation Detectors gives us the position that we need to be able to service both the X-ray manufacturing industry as well as the semiconductor manufacturing equipment customers. We are very happy that this acquisition has taken place, and we feel that it gives us a significant presence in the market to be able to support your needs. Please contact us at www.optodiode.com and let us know how we can be of service to you. Thank you.
