Jenoptik Presents Diode Lasers With High Brilliance

Jenoptik

At Photonics West the Diode Lasers business unit of the Jenoptik Lasers & Material Processing division showcased its high-brightness fiber-coupled diode laser modules up to 65 W optical output power at 105 µm fiber core diameter and a numerical aperture of 0.15. They are based on the coupling of several single emitters and are characterized by a high level of robustness and the compact design of only 100 mm x 60 mm x 25 mm. Due to the passive cooling of the diode laser modules through to the base plate, the handling of the modules is very easy. Another benefit is an integrated filter that protects against back reflection from the fiber laser beam.

The main areas of application of the high-brightness modules are optical pumping of fiber lasers and direct material processing.
