Professor Liu, the Director of Biomedical Optical Imaging Laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh, is working on various medical and scientific projects with high-speed technology. Liu and his team are working on developing an imaging technology for high-throughput nanoscale nuclear architecture mapping; applications to predict early progression of cancer; phase imaging to improve cytology diagnostics; and super-resolution imaging of the organization of genomes in cancer progression.

  • The digital photography industry is certainly on the rise. Every day there are more than 250 million photos uploaded to Facebook and 40 million uploaded to Instagram. Just the number of photos on Facebook alone is 10,000 times more than the number of photos in the U.S. Library of Congress.
