Coherent Enters Telecommunications Market

N/Aany%> announced that it has entered into a joint venture agreement with Fiber Optics Network Solutions (FONS) Corp. to form CFX Communications Systems.

CFX Communications Systems will develop and market a high-powered broadband transmission product line capable of providing cost-effective CATV and high-speed internet access. This innovative product line will provide both analog and digital transmissions supporting HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coax) networks, FTCC (Fiber-To-The-Curb) systems and FTTH (Fiber-To-The-Home) systems.
