Hamamatsu's V9501U is a low-noise proximity-focused image intensifier for bio-imaging applications such as fluorescence detection and luminescence detection. The V9501U can be readily incorporated into gated intensified CCD camera systems. It features a spectral response range of 280 nm to 720 nm, minimum gating time of 5 ns, radiant emittance gain of approximately 14,000 W/m2, and high resolution (50 Lp/mm). Noise rating is typically 3 x 10-12 lm/cm2.
The V9501U uses a GaAsP photocathode and has a minimum effective area of 16 mm x 16 mm. Different options are available for the number of microchannel plate (MCP) stages, type of phosphor screen, and type of output window
