FLEXPOINT® Laser Modules for Industrial Image Processing
LASER COMPONENTS offers a wide variety of laser modules for image processing - from classical line lasers with homogeneous power distribution along the line to line lasers with several parallel lines.
Using diffractive optical elements (DOE), crosses, grids, circles, rings, and dot matrices can also be created.
FLEXPOINT® line lasers with homogeneous power distribution
The classical laser for image processing...
FP-HOM line lasers are mainly used in laser triangulation, 3D surface scanning and the light section method. For this, a camera is usually setup perpendicularly to the surface and the laser emits at a certain angle.
The homogeneous power distribution along the line simplifies the measurements significantly. Power levels of up to 100 mW guarantee a large contrast and, consequently, short exposure and measuring times.

Diffractive Optics - Pattern Generators
Some applications in industrial image processing require special laser patterns that can be produced by so-called diffractive optical elements. These optics are computer generated and are manufactured cheaply in mass production by copying the master optic. These optics can be permanently integrated into a FLEXPOINT® laser module or delivered in a pluggable plastic mount.
