Aluminum stages are best used when weight must be minimized and the stability of steel is not needed. In order to maintain the required accuracy ball bearings are factory pre-loaded by four equally spaced stainless steel rods that are machined into the aluminum stage to ensure precision and load capacity

Aluminum stages are best used when weight must be minimized and the stability of steel is not needed. In order to maintain the required accuracy ball bearings are factory pre-loaded by four equally spaced stainless steel rods that are machined into the aluminum stage to ensure precision and load capacity.
Two sizes are offered. The 65mm size is suitable for most laboratory applications having a two inch square 1/4-20 hole pattern for mounting to industry standard bases. The 25mm size is compatible with the mini-system previously described. It has a metric (M2) hole pattern on 10mm centers and provides 6mm of travel.
