Terahertz Technologies Inc. was founded in 1989. The focus of the company has been the design and manufacture of instruments for use with lasers and fiber optics. The evolution of the company's product line has been customer-driven. Customer requirements are the basis for the design and development of each new or improved product.

TTI derives the majority of its revenue from manufacturing OEM products that are sold under the name of other manufacturers. We have developed sophisticated instruments for a diverse group of customers ranging from automobile manufacturers, fiber optic instrument manufacturers, research laboratories, photonics product manufacturers, medical laser manufacturers, spectrometer manufacturers, and semiconductor equipment manufacturers. Among these products are optical to electrical converters, electrical to optical converters, fiber optic laser tachometers, fiber optic video links, advanced fiber optic loss test sets, optical time-domain reflectometers, fiber optic switches, custom light choppers, laser power and energy meters, laser light sources, and various other custom optoelectronic products.

The engineers at Terahertz have decades of experience in radiometric and fiber optic instrumentation. They look for the most cost-effective solution for the customer - even recommending a competitor instead of "reinventing the wheel". Low overhead and efficient designs keeps NRE (non-recurring engineering) costs to a minimal level.
