About Us

NoblePeak Vision Corporation was founded in December 2002 by Dr. Clifford King and Dr. Conor Rafferty who were both engineers and managers at Bell Laboratories.

The Company's veteran team of semiconductor and electro-optical professionals are developing revolutionary image sensors and video camera cores based upon its proprietary germanium enhanced CMOS technology called TriWave®. NoblePeak holds numerous patents in germanium (Ge) on silicon processing.

Germanium is sensitive in the visible, near infrared (NIR) and short wave infrared spectrum and TriWave® is enabling breakthrough passive night vision and active multispectral imaging products for major OEM's in the $3B commercial security market and the $1B, machine vision, medical and biometric markets.

The company has received awards from the US Government, including a grant from the National Science Foundation.

In 2007 NoblePeak won the Global Security Challenge for the world's most promising security technology start up. In 2008 the company won the SIA sponsored Best of Show New Product Showcase at ISC West and in 2009 NoblePeak won the prestigious PRISM award, presented by the SPIE for Detectors, Sensing and Imaging technology innovation.
