Datasheet: 2.3 GHz Deschutes BSI™ Photoreceiver with 75 µm Backside-Illuminated R APD: RIC1 JJAC

Source: Voxtel, Inc.
The RIC1 JJAC is the 75 µm-diameter version of Voxtel's RIC-1000 series of high-sensitivity photoreceivers. This photoreceiver incorporates Voxtel's Deschutes BSI™ VFC1 JBZA R APD.

The backside-illuminated operation allows the Deschutes BSI™ R APDs both higher responsivity and lower capacitance than competing front-side-illuminated APDs. The R APD is custom-engineered for reduced excess noise, which allows this photoreceiver to achieve high sensitivity and low bit error rates (BERs). A single-stage thermoelectric (TE) cooler is included to eliminate temperature-induced gain variation and allow optimal performance over the range of application environments.
