Particle Imaging Velocimetry (PIV) can be extremely useful for the analysis of turbulent flow, transient flow, micro flow, and 3D volumetric flow studies within automotive, aerospace, bio-tech/medical, marine propulsion, electronics, and scientific research industries. Photron presents a technique using high speed FASTCAM cameras to obtain the time dependent velocity distributions in a Field-Of-View (FOV) of single and multi-phase flows which are very fast, turbulent, and complex.
