Thermal Imaging and HD Surveillance Systems: Oculus Series
The Oculus Series from Sierra-Olympic is made up of rugged pan/tilt ocular units designed for mid-range surveillance applications. These surveillance systems feature HD/SD video and thermal modules, and employ DRS proven, un-cooled, high-resolution 17μm VOx thermal technologies to provide human detection ranging from 1.4-2.1 kilometers.
The Oculus series provides clear images with its optically flat glass at the highest zoom levels, uses ICE to enhance contrast, and includes a continuous digital zoom. The units include optical encoders for the pan and tilt axes, along with self-correction systems for counteracting external interference to provide highly accurate positioning and repeatability. These ocular devices also have the ability to be mounted upright or inverted, while the yoke may be offset to remove blindspots through 360 degrees of rotation.
