Opto Diode's On-Shore Wafer Fabrication Plant In Full Production

Newbury Park, CA -- Opto Diode Corporation announces the completion of their new domestic wafer fabrication facility in Newbury Park, California. The company, a global supplier of visible, high power LEDs and IRLEDs, recently introduced their first line of high performance photodiodes and now offers both silicon photodetectors and gallium aluminum arsenide devices.

Opto Diode's Class 1000 clean room facility and 6 " wafer line is now in full production with the completion of their in-house wafer fab. The company offers quick turnaround prototyping services and high-volume production capabilities.

According to Russ Dahl, Director of Sales and Marketing, "Our new facility is ideally designed to produce quick photodiode prototypes. We produce both 100 mm and 150 mm wafers and offer the capability of very high volume production to our customers.
