SERDS | The Next Generation Of Raman Spectroscopy

PD-LD's LS-2 LabSource is a dual-source benchtop module features two laser sources, rendering it unique relative to other benchtop Raman modules. These laser sources are VBG-stabilized, and are available in standard and custom wavelengths. When the two laser sources' wavelengths are closely spaced together (e.g. 780nm and 780.5nm), the module is capable of performing Surface Enhanced Raman Differential Spectroscopy, or SERDS. This powerful analytical technique uses the difference between the two Raman spectra from the paired sources to cancel out the background fluorescence that often impedes Raman analysis.
