Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) Coating Datasheet

Source: Laser Components USA, Inc.

The ion beam sputtering (IBS) coating process is where the energy input parameters, layer growth rate, level of oxidation, and other process parameters can be very precisely set with a high reproducibility. This process delivers a “cold coating” applied at low temperatures, making it possible to coat temperature-sensitive materials such as laser crystals. The IBS process is also able to manufacture extremely complex layer structures with more than 100 layers for the highest degree of reflection. Download the datasheet for more information on the IBS coating process and its advantages.
