Latest Addition to the OmniCure Product Line Delivers High-Power, Air-Cooled UV LED Curing for Industrial Manufacturing and Printing

Excelitas Technologies® Corp., a global technology leader focused on delivering innovative, customized photonic solutions, introduces  OmniCure® AC9 UV LED Curing Systems for the curing of inks, adhesives and coatings. The OmniCure AC9 UV LED Systems’ innovative design features a high-performing, small form-factor, air-cooled solution to enable faster line speeds in industrial manufacturing and printing.

The OmniCure AC9150, AC9150P, AC9225, AC9225P, AC9300 and AC9300P UV LED curing systems have advanced front-end optics to provide high power, high peak irradiance and exceptional uniformity. The OmniCure AC9 UV LED Curing Systems deliver over 14 W/cm2 peak irradiance for fast curing at varying working distances. A patented process for addressing individual UV LED module outputs provides exceptional uniformity for even curing over the entire area.

The three AC9-P versions of the AC9 Series are equipped with a replaceable outer window for easier maintenance in printing applications at close working distances. The scalable design allows for multiple heads to be adjoined for customization and flexibility without compromising on output uniformity. By adapting the output to support specific process requirements, the new AC9 Series can be used in a range of applications, including digital printing, industrial and electronics manufacturing, touch panel/display, solar panel, conformal coatings and automotive.

Exceptional Process Control
For a repeatable curing process, precise control of the UV irradiance level and time allows the correct dose of UV energy to be provided on every exposure. Intelligent system monitoring and control ensures that the systems’ reliability meets the demands of any application.

Ease of Integration
OmniCure UV LED curing systems utilize air-cooled LED technology in a compact design, allowing for seamless integration into new or existing production lines. The innovative design eliminates the need for costly retooling, external cooling or ozone extraction. The curing systems can also be mounted in any orientation for greater flexibility. External mechanical and optical accessories are also available upon request.

“The new Excelitas OmniCure AC9 systems are ideal solutions for customers looking to achieve faster line speed in both industrial manufacturing and printing. Higher peak performance and custom lenses set OmniCure AC9 Series products apart from other UV LED curing systems on the market,” said Oliver Scheuss, Vice President of Solid State Lighting and UV/Microscopy at Excelitas Technologies.

Excelitas Technologies Corp.’s OmniCure AC9 Series of UV LED Curing Systems will debut at IMI Ink Jet Printing Conference (table top), Anaheim, CA, February 3-5, 2016. For more information about Excelitas and its products, please contact us or visit www.excelitas.com.
