The pco.1400 is a CCD Camera specifically designed for use in low light levels. It can be used in several applications, such as solar cell in-line quality and solar panel control, scientific imaging, spectroscopy, high resolution microscopy, machine vision and industrial applications, bioluminescence / chemoluminescence, luminescence spectroscopy, Red and NIR fluorescence applications, and imaging of bio markers.

This pco.1400 is a versatile high performance digital 14 bit CCD camera system specifically designed for low light applications in the range of visible light up to 1100 nm. The pco.1400 has extraordinary quantum efficiency (QE) of up to 65 % @ 500 nm (12 % @ 880 nm). In addition, a proprietary offset control algorithm has been added which provides very high offset stability.

Some of the pco.1400‘s unique features are its increased sensitivity in the NIR range of the spectrum and the no glow functionality. Binning can be selected to accommodate the user‘s application. Camera features excellent resolution (1392 x 1040 pixel), high dynamic range, exposure times from 1 µs to 60 s, excellent low noise of 6 e- rms @ 12.288 MHz, high framing rate 13.5 fps @ 25 MHz and standard interface IEEE 1394a (“Firewire“).
