Avantes and SphereOptics recently announced the continuation of its Optical Sensing Workshop series. The next workshops will be held in München and Stuttgart Germany on February 3 and 4, 2010. The workshop includes both lecture/theory and practical hands on instrument demonstration.

These lectures and seminars are intended for scientists and engineers working in the field of optical sensing including light measurement, color measurement and spectroscopic measurement techniques.

Practical demonstrations for a variety of integrating sphere measurements and spectroscopy applications such as color and LED measurements will be shown. Attendees will also have the opportunity for hands-on use of instruments. Ample time is allotted in a separate demonstration room to discuss your application with the workshop presenters.

Avantes will discuss the fundamentals of spectrometer design and explore specific applications in radiometry, photometry, color measurement. SphereOptics will provide information on the basic science of radiometry and photometry, including theory and design, how to specify and use an integrating sphere for measuring light sources and electronic imaging sensors and assessing measurement performance. The complete program and a registration form can be found by clicking here. Please e-mail info@avantes.com for more information.
