New High-Power JENar® F-Theta Fused Silica Lenses for Laser Material Processing
JENar — F-Theta Lenses and Beam Expanders
Well-designed beam delivery is the only way of maximizing the efficiency in laser material processing — for drilling, dicing, fine cutting, structuring, perforating, marking and texturing. These are typical applications of F-Theta Lenses JENar® and Beam Expanders.
With the new JENar® series of Fused Silica F-Theta Lenses, Jenoptik satisfies the demand for new optical solutions and expands its product portfolio for high laser powers. The full fused silica lenses with diffraction-limited design feature high spot uniformity over the entire scan range and provide a distinctly higher damage threshold. Its coatings have been specifically optimized for fused silica optics enabling low absorption. With this technology, the F-Theta lenses offer excellent performance in applications with newest generation multi-kW fiber and disk laser with minimum focal shift, even without active cooling.
At SPIE Photonics West 2012, Jenoptik will introduce new F-Theta Fused Silica Lenses for laser powers up to 2 kW and operation at the wavelength of 1070 nm with focal lengths of f=160 nm and f=255 nm. They complement the JENar® Fused Silica series of 266 nm (f=103,4) and 355 nm (f=103,4). Additional F-Theta Fused Silica Lenses are planned for use at different wavelengths in the UV, VIS and NIR ranges to complement the unit's range of products.
Jenoptik offers a wide range of standard JENar® F-Theta Lenses including models for 1064 nm, 532 nm, 355 nm and 266 nm. Among them, there are telecentric designed lenses as well as special wide angle lenses. In conjunction with appropriate scan systems, our lenses allow precise imaging for highly accurate micro and macro machining.
In order to find uncompromising solutions for specific applications, Jenoptik also offers custom development of complete optical systems, lenses or individual components with special focus on laser material processing — from the formation of an intensity beam profile to the splitting of high-intensity laser beams.
