Xenics' 2048 pixel high speed line-scan SWIR camera, Lynx-2048, is perfectly suited to solve common issues in applications including remote sensing, machine vision, spectroscopy and medical OCT applications.
For OCT applications the Lynx-2048' SWIR-rays penetrate deeper into the object. Together with the high resolution this provides us with more valuable information. The high frame rate of 10 kHz at 2048 pixel resolution allows for faster scanning. In machine vision applications, the Lynx-2048 provides high resolution with only one camera instead of multi-camera solutions, which makes it simpler and cheaper than before. In earth observation (space, airborne) applications, the Lynx-2048 detects the reflectance in the 1.5 – 1.7 µm band which is very interesting to determine the liquid water content in the plants and for the identification of tree types and plant conditions. For the more Mediterranean area the SWIR band is also important to detect wild fire affected areas and even for the detection of active fires.
