Toshiba Offers Miniature 1/3 inch CCD Remote Head Color Camera (IK-UM44H)

Irvine, CA – Toshiba Digital Solutions Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. (TAIS) and a leader in advanced imaging technologies for industrial, scientific and medical communities, announces their smallest CCD remote head color camera model, the IK-UM44H. The dimensions of the ultra miniature, 1/3-inch CCD color camera are 30% smaller (12 mm) than Toshiba's popular 1/2 inch "lipstick" camera model, the IK-M44H. The high resolution, 410,000 pixel CCD with micro lens technology uses the latest digital signal processing (DSP) sensor technology. It also shares the same control unit (the IK-CU44A) as the larger IK-M44H CCD camera head.
The easy to use, advanced function, IK-UM44H is available with three remote camera cables (3M, 5M and 30M) and two lenses, a standard 5.5mm and an optional 18mm telephoto lens. Other features include an electronic shutter with nine selectable speeds, an auto-shutter mode and the automatic tracking white balance function. Lenses, cables and the AC/DC adapter are compatible with both the NTSC and PAL camera versions.
Ideal for those users who have been looking for a full-featured, micro-sized remote head color camera to replace the discontinued 1/4 inch remote head cameras from other camera manufacturers, the Toshiba IK-UM44H model offers enhanced illumination with the 1/3 inch head. For easy integration into machine vision systems, this tiny color camera head detaches from the camera cable, thereby eliminating the need for a digital zoom which can result in unwanted pixel degradation.
