Technical Ramifications Of Using The Correct / Correctly Oriented Fluorescent Aperture

The aperture lamp is a Fluorescent lamp that is manufactured by first coating the inside of the lamp with a white reflective material, such as Titanium Oxide. A particular phosphor material is then coated INSIDE the reflective layer. A slot of varying dimensions is scraped down the side of the lamp end-to-end. In this way, the reflector is able to force the light to escape through the opening - or aperture; hence, its name.
