SUI First Private Company To Experiment Aboard The International Space Station (ISS)

Princeton, N.J. -- When SUI (Sensors Unlimited, Inc.), part of Goodrich Corporation Chairman Gregory Olsen, Ph.D. travels to the International Space Station (ISS) in April 2005 aboard a Russian made Soyuz rocket, it will mark the first corporate mission to the ISS and the first time in history a commercial product is tested on the orbiting outpost. As the world's pioneer in the design and production of indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) devices and a high-tech industry leader, the mission demonstrates how SUI will travel to the ends of the Earth and beyond, to remain on the cutting edge of optical detection technology.

Dr. Olsen will test the capabilities of the SU320M "MiniCamera" to observe terrestrial and atmospheric phenomena. SUI cameras operate in near infrared and short wave infra-red (SWIR), allowing the user to see objects and elements invisible to other cameras and the human eye.
