New CMOS-Based Mini-Spectrometer Provides Fast & Accurate Measurements For Various Applications
September 25, 2006
Bridgewater, NJ -- Hamamatsu Corporation's new C10083MD minispectrometer offers high measurement precision and high throughput for applications such as LED testing, industrial color measurement, and fluorescence measurement. The unit is based on a CMOS linear image sensor with a wide spectral response range (320 nm to 1000 nm). It includes a high-quality quartz transmission grating that reduces stray light and contributes to high throughput, and has an SMA optical fiber connector for light input via optical fiber.
The C10083MD uses a single USB cable to draw its power supply from a connected computer and to transfer data. Bundled software (compatible with Windows 2000 SP3 or later, Windows XP SP1a or later) gives users the ability to set measurement conditions; acquire, save, and display data; and perform calculations and other functions. Overall dimensions of the C10083MD are 90 x 94 x 55 mm (L x W x H). Optical fibers for light input are available as optional items.
