The high-power diode laser is developing into a tool of the trade for industry as well as science. The reasons for this are numerous: excellent beam quality, maneuverability and the long life of this type of laser. In order to live up to customer expectations regarding quality and dependability of their products, JENOPTIK Laserdiode GmbH (JOLD) implemented a process-orientated quality management system in accordance with the German industrial standard EN ISO 9001:2000 in 2001. But what does all of that mean?
A quality management system is introduced with a clear goal in mind: customer satisfaction. In order for a company to guide and control quality, the sequences of all processes must be organized. Based on accumulated knowledge and the drive for innovative solutions, JOLD's individual processes are singly directed at the fulfilment of customer desires.
